About this deal

I just finished this book about 10 minutes ago and I'm very impressed. I'm also very tired as it's now after 5am! I will be so very tired today but it is totally worth it!!

You clever boy," she says, stopping to kiss him fiercely on his damp forehead. "Will you show me when you get home?" The twist takes your breath away . . . surpasses Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train * Jane Moore - Loose Women * The characters in the book I thought were excellent, I felt I could relate to each of them as if I was there with them, in the story, including the peripheral characters as well. Some might find a bit of a hate/love with Jenna I think, for me, I reserved judgement on her until the end of the book.On a rainy afternoon, a mother’s life is shattered as her son slips from her grip and runs into the street… I read I Let You Go in two sittings; it made me cry (at least twice), made me gasp out loud (once) and above all made me wish I'd written it. Absorbing, authentic and deeply unsettling: a stellar achievement, and so deliciously clever * Elizabeth Haynes * It's so hard to talk anymore about the plot of this book without giving away the entire reason for the book so I am not going to do that.

A young mum walks her 5 year old son home from school, like any other day. Except that this day is different, her son lets go of her hand and is hit by a car and killed instantly. Such an accomplished debut - tautly plotted, emotionally engaging and with twists I genuinely didn't see coming * Veronica Henry * What if we don’t agree?” There was the longest pause before the doctor replied. “You have to,” she said, “because the alternative is unthinkable.” It would be to the unthinkable I would return, years later, when I wrote After the End, although it was far from my mind then. Instead I was standing at Frost’s crossroads, trying to see 10 years down each path.Overall, I loved the atmosphere, the mystery was strong, as well as the police procedural aspects of the story. Jenna really grew on me over the course of the book and all in all, I did appreciate her character growth. Loved by me, my wife and my daughter – no other book has ever satisfied such a diverse audience!– Phil
